As part of this order, GTT will design the tanks for ships with a loading capacity of 174,000 m3 each. The transporters will also be equipped with the Mark III Flex membrane containment system.

Delivery of the vessels is scheduled between the first and third quarters of 2025.

This summer, GTT received an order from Samsung Heavy Industries to design tanks for fourteen new LNG carriers. In addition, the company unveiled its record order intake for LNG carriers and LNG-powered vessels.

This week, GTT signed a technical assistance and license agreement with China Merchants Heavy Industries-Jiangsu (CMHI-Jiangsu), a subsidiary of China Merchants Industry Holdings (CMI).

The agreement will allow the shipbuilder to build vessels using GTT’s membrane technologies.
